NEWARK: A funeral service for Shirley S. Barth, 74, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Ralph Nethers officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
She passed away April 1, 2014, at her residence. She was born January 11, 1940, in Temple, MI, to the late Robert and Josephine (Winters) Sensabaugh.
Shirley retired from Holophane, attended the Newark Church of Christ, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Chuck (Kim) Garey of VA, Marsha (Jerry) Eckman of Newark, Jim (Tracy) Garey of TX, Don (Lori) Garey of TX, Cindy (Bill) Short of Newark, and Joe (Christina) Barth of Newark; brothers, Bobby Sensabaugh of Newark and Danny (Diane) Sensabaugh of Strasburg; sister, Linda (Gary) Schworm of Apple Valley; brother-in law, Dick Shoemaker of Newark; sister-in-law, Marybelle Morris of Newark; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and numerous life long friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Barth; sister, Mary Belle Shoemaker; granddaughter, Angela Neudecker; son-in-law, Claude "Jay" Moore, Jr., and brother-in-law, John C.F. Morris.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 12 to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.
